In a a move that should be welcomed by the Industry, the NHVR will have the authority to approve RTO’s to deliver fatigue Management Training. This has ramifications in training delivery quality control and content standardization. The aim of the new accreditation powers of the NHVR is to ensure that all participants receive comprehensive training in all aspects of fatigue management and their legal obligations in record keeping, ultimately leading to safer roads for all users. The new system of accreditation will come into force some time in the second half of the year but could be as early as May or June.
